Rio will be the last city of my trip in South America. For the last days I could use the motorbike, I went to the other side of the bay, to Niteroi and Buzios.
It is said that the only good thing about Niteroi is the great view of Rio. The bridge crossing the bay is huge: 13km, longest in the Southern hemisphere, 6th longest in the World. It was built 1974.

View of Rio from the bridge:
This museum is the symbol of the city of Niteroi:

I am not sure the quality of the picture is good enough to be able to see Rio, the Christ, the 2 Brothers, Pedro da Gavea, Sugarloaf… all these mountains I climbed. Rio is an incredible city!
Pushing further than Niteroi, 200km from Rio, lies Buzios. Because of the traffic out of the city, and taking the slow road along the coast, it took me 5 hours to get there. But I don’t regret it:

In Buzios, I stayed one night in a very basic hostel in which I saw this sign:
Buzios is a resort town and tourist site that offers relaxing beaches and scenic views. I have often heard that it is the “St-Tropez of Brasil”.
I went to Buzios especially this week-end because I knew Enrique was there with his girlfriend (Oceane, French), and his parents from Chile. We had a great diner and interesting discussions together:
In the morning, I took the moto and went around, from beach to beach. Beautiful!

In the afternoon, I went back to Rio. And the moto is for sale, news in the next article.
