I used a few days in Porto Alegre to fix things on the moto. Radiator was leaking, front sprocket damaged. And I’m on the road again!Not for long… flat tyre just before arriving in Gramado. The side boxes are so strong (US army ammo boxes) that I can lay the moto on the side to do mechanic. But finally, people told me there was a service station 500m further. Lucky again!Gramado and Canela are 2 little cities (30 and 40,000 people) which have the particularity to have received a strong contingent of German immigrants. I was staying in Gramado: the streets are clean, pedestrians don’t cross at the red light, most of people are white and blond…it does not feel like Brasil!A waterfall of wine… is this paradise?Gramado is also famous for its delicious chocolate:In Gramado, I was staying at the Chocolatche Hostel, a business Raquel had started a couple of years earlier. She invited me to join her and her friends for diner. Thanks a lot! After a wild camping night, I ……had another flat tyre!!! I did not have any for 5 months, and I just had 3 in 3 days on the road! This time, I managed to do everything myself: balance the moto, remove the wheel, remove the tube, patch the tube, re-insert the tube, inflate the tyre, re-assembled the wheel… All of this under the rain, took me hours.To evacuate the frustration, I went hiking at the 3 Canyons and came back to the same spot, late.Canyons are impressive! I don’t regret making it all the way there. The place is called Itaimbezinho.Last kilometers in the mountain before going back to the coast. I was not expecting this part of Brasil to be this wild and beautiful!
