In Bolivia, life sacrifices were (are?) part of the culture. To make sure the gods (land, sky, mountain) are satisfied, animals were (are?) killed and offered. The Incas used to practice human sacrifices in extreme cases (dryness, flooding, illness, etc…). Today, we have been assured that these baby alpacas protecting this shop were dead of a natural cause.
Like in Peru, food is different from anything I had seen before. This fruit looks like a potatoe from outside, but tastes like a passion fruit:

Of course, there have been a few parties… but not that many! The first night I was in La Paz, I had beers and shots thinking I was at the sea level. I had the worst headache ever the day after…
