I spent 6 weeks in France all together. 3 weeks with friends, 3 weeks with the family. Everything was well organised and I managed to catch up with a lot of people. Everyone is doing well, I can’t be happier! 6 weeks seems too short, but Brasil is waiting for me.
Saturday 23 July, I said goodbye to my family, drove from Auvergne to Lyon, then took a bus to Paris via Dijon, where I was born, to catch a place to Frankfurt.
Goodbye to my beautiful sisters!
They had prepared a gift: a T-shirt signed by everyone, that I will carry around, of course!
1 night on Lyon:
A view of Dijon from the bus:
And after 1 night in Paris, here I am, in the plane to Frankfurt:
Frankfurt from the sky:
The stop over in Frankfurt was supposed to be 40 minutes only. But because of delays, I missed the connection to Rio. And I stayed in Germany for 26 hours: night out and back to the hotel at 7am, I love the unexpected!!!
I also managed to catch up with Claudia, a friend I met in Australia a few years ago.
The Squaire building is monstruous: the largest office building in Germany:
After this unplanned stop over, Lufthansa is about to take me to Rio, for good. In the plane, numerous athletes from Georgia and Moldavia, and also the President of the Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach.
I tried to open these books… it is going to be hard to communicate in the first weeks!
Here is a map of my trip since I left Australia, the 19th of May 2016. 27th of July 5am, I land in Rio de Janeiro. Plenty of adventures to come, plenty of people to meet, plenty of sights to see, plenty of things to do!

Just see the 25th period… Thomas has friend in every place he goes! Sure he will meet a new friend in Rio ! Good luck! Mum
